And finally, the reception area upon entering the building.  You can see the bit of work still to be done, but we are packing and moving as you read this.

Here we were filming a Band Type Beveling Machine with the optional Motor Drive attachment.  The trench was quite narrow, we purposely didn’t leave much space between earth and pipe to really get a feel for the machine’s capability.  It cut all the way around the pipe with little clearance.

The Aluminum Line-Up Clamps are on display in the various sizes.  In the foreground you can see the two pipes of the slider the camera crew used to pan across the clamps.

And finally, a view from the front.  The pictures don’t quite do the building justice, it really is a very impressive structure.

As nice as the open view of the sky is, it doesn’t offer much protection against the elements.  We’re going to need a roof.

Hills and trees in the distance, our new location definitely has a scenic advantage.

Watching and cataloguing this process allows us to simultaneously witness the future materialize while at the same time see our history being made.  We cannot stress enough how exciting these past weeks have been and how excited we are for the coming weeks.

At Sawyer we keep our eyes on the horizon and plan for the future with care.  This isn’t to say that we don’t treasure our past, because we are proud of the more than 60 years we have spent fulfilling our customers needs.  However, we recognize the importance of staying at the cutting edge and adapting so that we will continue to meet those needs for another 60 years and beyond.

So moving forward we are proud to announce two major expansions:

The first expansion is the addition of this news section to the Sawyer website.  Expect regular updates here to keep you informed not only of the exciting changes taking place within our company but also of interesting and important news relevant to the industry.

The second expansion, and without a doubt the more important of the two, comes with the announcement of the construction taking place on our new facility!

We have been in our current location, or vicinity, since 1948 and as you can imagine we have outgrown it.  Earlier this year we selected a new location just across the Arkansas River in Southwest Tulsa.  This new site is in an established industrial area with convenient access to major highways as well as access for heavy trucks.

This new construction will nearly double our manufacturing space and triple our office space.  We hope you will join us in our excitement as we monitor the building process in anticipation of all that room room to stretch our legs!
